I made a search into the forum before opening a new issue, and I finally found this one:

We have published a wordpress instance with a lot of references to vimeo videos, and we are facing the problem described in that 2017 issue.
We are wondering if - in the meantime - there have been added other hints to overcome the double click problem.
Could you help us?

Browsers block autoplaying videos with sound. Since iframe element is added dynamically - the browser doesn't count it as a user action.

So to fix the issue you may:

thanks for your reply, but we still have some doubts, while are we speaking of "autoplay"? That is, we cannot see vimeo videos until we do a double click on them.
Moreover what do you mean with the second option?
We are not writing an html page at the moment to configure a video, we are using a "short code". Should we have to write an html page embedding an iframe with reference to vimeo videos?
Do you have some examples for that option?
    Thanks again,

Vimeo embed code structure can be adjusted from "Video" section of slider options. For example, to add muted parameter you can adjust it to:

    <iframe src="" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

The plugin loads <iframe> only after the user clicks the play button. To load it right away you may embed it outside of the slider or paste the embed code in "Custom HTML" tab of "Edit Slide" dialog.

     thanks for your reply.
We were wondering, due to this vimeo's issues, if Royal Slider plugin should work also with videos from othersources, than youtube and vimeos. For example, with local lan videos hosted on a local service.
What could you suggest us about this?

The plugin supports only YouTube and Vimeo by default. Though, there is an API to integrate other players
