Go to a Specific Slide when clicking an outside link

Hello,

I'd like to use an external link that, when clicked, will show a specific slide. For example, I have 5 slides in a Slider. I need to go to number 3 by just clicking a link in the page. Any ideas? I don't want to mess with the source code. Just want to do it in a separate code that I will insert in the page.

Thank you,
Gabriel

    Hi,

You can use slider JS api for this, here is example - http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/royal-slider/visible-nearby/

Also, you can use deeplinking module to link to slides.

If deeplinking is enabled, all you need is to append #page-ID to URL.

Are you discussing the WP version of Royal Slider? How do I enable deeplinking on WordPress version?

I thought deeplinking was currently only possible with html version not wordpress version?

Oh, I'm very sorry, I missed that question is about WP version.

Unfortunately, there is no currenty such option in it, you'll have to implement it by yourself.

Here is documentation of old version of slider: https://www.digipen.edu/fileadmin/website_data/slider/documentation...

You may use it to got to specific slide based on window hash.

    @euandrei

    • Enable deeplinking
    • Add at the end of your URL: - #prefix-1 (where prefix- is value in prefix deeplinking option.

You may check the documentation for deeplinking here - http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/royal-slider/documentation/#deeplinking If you have issues - please provide link to page with problem.

So what happens if you are using a lightbox? I'm trying to get it to deep link into a light box that seems like it's not going to work.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks -

    Eric

@Eric, deeplinking option only applies to RoyalSlider when it's present on page.

Thanks for this post. Is there a way to assign a fixed url to a deeplinked slide that is not contingent on its order? For example: I want a link to go to a particular slide tagged "special" that will always link to "special" even if additional slides are added or the slide show is rearranged. So my link might look something like this:
    http://example.com/slideshowpage/#prefix-special.

^ there is no built-in option to do this, you may disable deeplinking option and implement your own via slider JS API.
