Is there anyway to change the selected thumbnail to either a grayscale OR another image? I need the selected thumb to change to black and white.

I was actually able to style it through the css.

Another question though is am I able to skip the first slide when the next button is pushed on the last slide? I would like the rotation to go... intro to #1 - #6 then back to #1. The intro should only show on the initial landing.

There is no build-in option for this, you'll need to create custom arrows and navigation and control them via API to implement this.

Also, you may try to removeSlide().

how would you suggest using the remove slide option? Is there a way of putting in a condition that if on any slide greater then 0 remove 0?

you may check of currSlideId in rsAfterSlide change callback, if it's greater then 0, remove first slide.
