I'm tring to get the slider instance to but without success

Doesn't work
var sliderInstance = $(".activeSlide .royalSlider").data('royalSlider');

$('.activeSlide .royalSlider').royalSlider('updateSliderSize');

Doesn't work
$('.activeSlide .royalSlider').royalSlider('goto', 0);

Am I doing something wrong?

    It should be goTo (camel case) and both will work.

    I just noticed I had the wrong function call name and at the same time it seems like the slider was not initialized when I was trying to update the size and go to the first slide.

    I also would like to know if it's possible to remove the animation from the goto or maybe if it's posible to reinitialize the slider so it starts at the first item.

    I basically use goTo to go to the first slide of an existing slider. If the slider has 10 items you see the animation. I'd like to skip that

    You may change transition speed, like so:

    var slider = $('.royalSlider').data('royalSlider'); = 0;
    slider.goTo(0); = 400;
