I am using Royal Slider with srcset as per your fiddle, but keep getting an undefined image on site also similar sites have had clients complaining about loss of image quality (sharpness)

You should not add rsImg class to your images, if you're using the code for the fiddle. That makes two preloading systems conflict with each other.

You'll also need to position the image manually, which can be done via CSS like this

Hi Dimitry Many thanks for your reply. That has solved the main problem, but the sharpness issue remains. I have put a set of my clients images on my site
Client has problems on a 24 inch Eizo Monitor CG 243W particularly when the browser is made smaller. It seems to be worse using chrome on his mac see attached screen grab. Is there any way of optimising code to help this please?

I tested on macbook and my other monitor and I don't see anything special, the image looks normal. Slider does not manipulate the image in any way, you may Network tab in dev tools to check if the correct size is loaded. Possibly your client was testing on the old version of the website (like, the cache wasn't cleared)?
