I need to insert an element into the slider. In this case, it will be for a button that will manipulate the content on the page. I don't want it to load with each slide. In essence, I need to mimic the the function of the default "fullscreen button."

if I try to add this via the "caption" method, it transitions it with each slide.

How do I add an element inside the slider, but not inside the slides themselves?

You may wrap the slider with an extra element and put the button inside it, or you may use JavaScript and append the button after the slider is initialized.
