Creating a new slide, and URL from any Vimeo video is rejected.
Error message is "Incorrect URL to Vimeo video page, or problem with request."
The link is confirmed correct, and the Vimeo settings for the videos are the same as all previously Vimeo-imported slides

    Hello,

Are you sure that video isn't private or unlisted? Even if the video URL is rejected - the plugin is still able to show it, you just have to upload your own cover image ("Add Image" in edit slide window).

Thanks Dmitry, the video is definitely public. But I appreciate the tip
that the plugin still works even when the URL doesn't.
When I upload a 16:9 image, though, it crops it to a square thumbnail
regardless of the edit settings, whereas when linking from Vimeo works, the
thumbnail image imports correctly. Any advice there?
    Thanks again for the help

By default, the plugin does not crop images.

It uses WordPress "large" image size by default, possibly your theme crops it? You may override this setting maximum size of images in Image Options section of slider.

You can also just force slider to use originally uploaded images http://help.dimsemenov.com/kb/wordpress-royalslider-advanced/wp-usi...
